What are Custom Floor Decals?
Custom floor decals are adhesive, thin vinyl stickers that are slip-resistant and durable. Their versatility makes them a good fit for a wide range of business needs. For instance, they are perfect for directing customers to advertising products or services. Even more, you can use them to provide helpful reminders to your own employees about where fire exits or hazardous areas are.
Sometimes called floor graphics or floor stickers, these custom floor decals come in a wide range of sizes and are easily installed on non-porous surfaces such as hardwood, laminate, sealed concrete, and sometimes tile (only if there are no grout spaces or lines).
Our floor decals have a thin profile which ensures that they don’t impede pathways, and their slip-resistant vinyl construction guarantees they can withstand heavy foot traffic from your customers.
Top Benefits of Custom Floor Decals
The average American spends 4.7 hours a day looking at their phone. Given that stat, your customers are more likely to be looking down at their phones than up at hanging signage.
That makes custom floor decals a clever marketing tactic for you to employ. Plus, their 2D nature means that you can put them in the most high-traffic areas of your business without obstructing movement.

Surface Options for Custom Floor Decals
Our vinyl custom floor decals adhere best to dry-wall and non-porous surfaces.
They can also be applied to wood, stone, concrete, and other surfaces.
However, if the floor is textured you risk tearing the vinyl and weakening the adhesive.
If you are not sure whether your floor surface is suitable or not, give us a call directly so we can discuss your options.
Sizing for Custom Floor Decals
Floor decals often are designed for covering large ground areas. Our sizing options are virtually unlimited, but common sizes range from 6” to 240” long and wide. So whether you need to fill in a small corner or cover a sizeable area, we can work with you to get you what you need.
For bigger graphics, we print multiple decals that are then pieced together for a seamless finish. There are also ways to utilize empty space between designs to create interesting layouts or creative floor configurations for optimizing your design’s impact.
Our custom floor decals can also be cut in any shape you like. That includes curved edges and die-cut shapes.

Our team is available to deliver and install our custom floor decals anywhere in Southern California, including San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles. For certain corporate and enterprise projects our team can fly to your business.
Installation can easily be done with one person unless you are working with a very large custom floor decal. In that case, we recommend working with two or more to ensure proper installation.
- Prepare your surface. Ensure it’s free of debris, dust and completely dry
- Once the surface is clean and dry, remove the [color?] backing from the decal. The decal is not repositionable, so make sure you are placing it precisely where you want it to be. Avoid folding or crinkling the decal before and during the application process.
- Press one edge of the decal against the surface. Starting at this edge, use a squeegee to slowly adhere the decal little by little. Work your way across the entire decal continuing to apply pressure until it is entirely applied to the underlying surface.
- Make sure to run the squeegee across the entire decal to ensure proper adhesion.
- The adhesion is instant, but allow up to 24 hours before cleaning the graphic.
Lifespan of CustomFloor Graphics
The lifespan for floor graphics can vary widely depending on the amount of traffic it receives. If your floor decal is located in a high traffic area it may last a matter of months. On the other hand, a low traffic area might host a floor graphic for years.
To extend the life of your custom floor decals, we recommend applying a floor wax to add a protective coating on top of the graphic.
Remember, our custom floor decals are designed to be installed once and are not able to be reused or repositioned. Proper installation and care will extend the lifespan of your floor decal.

Caring for Your Custom Floor Decal
Our custom floor decals are printed on a material built to resist fading and scuffing. However, proper care and cleaning will also keep them looking vibrant and help them last longer.
Regularly scrubbing decals gently with a wet rag or cloth and soapy water can do the job. Do not use abrasive materials, strong chemicals or power washers.
We also advise lightly cleaning the edges to prevent debris from building up under the cling, which could lead to undesirable peeling or fraying.

How do I wash my floor decal?
You can gently clean your floor decal with a wet rag and soapy water. Do not use abrasive scrubbers or harsh chemicals, as that may damage the integrity of the floor decal.
How long will my floor decal last?
Floor decals have a lifespan that can range from a few months to multiple years depending on the amount of foot traffic.
Are these custom floor decals able to be reused once removed?
No, our custom floor decals were not designed for multiple uses.

However, you will be unable to use the floor decal for a second usage.
How do I remove my floor decal?
Removal of decals is recommended within one year of installation.
To remove, simply slowly lift the edge of the decal away from the surface. If you have a scraper, you can use one to help lift the vinyl from the floor surface.
Residual adhesive can be removed easily with a cleaner and a scrub brush.
If you wait for longer than a year and if your floor decal is exposed to extreme temperatures, it can become more difficult to remove.
Will there be a sticky residual left once I remove my custom floor decal?
Decals that are removed within a year, should not leave behind excessive or difficult to remove residue.
If you do find a sticky residue, you can use a gentle cleanser and brush to remove the adhesive from the floor. There should be no damage to the underlying surface if you carefully clean without using any tools that might scratch the floor surface.
